STEP Call Opens for the Creation of Spin-Offs in Quantum Technologies and Advanced Materials
Financiación I+D+i, R&D&I Funding
15 October 2026
The Calls for Expressions of Interest (EOI) under the STEP programme have now been published. This initiative is funded by the ERDF Operational Programme for the Valencian Community 2021–2027 and aims to foster the creation of spin-off companies based on technologies developed in research environments.
This initiative represents a strategic opportunity for research groups with technologies at an advanced stage of development, particularly in the fields of quantum computing, semiconductors and advanced materials.
Call for proposals: https://ceice.gva.es/es/web/ciencia/convocatories-d-expressions-d-interes
Submission period
- Opens: 15 October 2025
- Closes: 11 November 2025
Key information
- EOIs must be submitted by the university, so interested research groups should coordinate with the Knowledge Transfer Service.
- One proposal per spin-off is permitted.
- Funding may amount to up to €500,000 per project, for activities carried out in 2026 and 2027.
