UMH Funding

UMH Funding

The Vice-Rectorate for Research and Knowledge Transfer at Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) annually launches a range of funding schemes aimed at promoting research and knowledge and technology transfer across the University. The funding calls related to knowledge and technology transfer are as follows:

PROOF OF CONCEPT PROGRAMME

A programme aimed at bringing research results generated at the University closer to society, with the objective of promoting their transfer to the productive sector by advancing their technological maturity and verifying the feasibility of the technology, thereby bringing it closer to the market.

Eligible activities:

Although the programme targets the early stages of the technology transfer process (TRL 3), it is primarily aimed at research results that have already been identified as having potential interest for the socio-economic environment. The objective is to reduce time to market and increase the commercial potential of the technologies.

Market opportunities are also available in the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Arts, provided that the activities are focused on knowledge transfer.

Funding may be awarded for complementary developments, tests or activities carried out following the research results that are intended for exploitation, including results that are already protected (patents, protected software, plant varieties, etc.) or for which protection has been applied for. Results related to the fields of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Arts should be supported by evidence demonstrating their potential for future application and their relevance to the corresponding market sector.

  • Maximum funding per project: €10,000
  • Implementation period: until 31 December 2026.
  • Application deadline: 13 January 2026 at 23:59 CET.
