Knowledge Transfer Opportunities in the Circular Economy – Transferencia al Aire Podcast
3 September 2026
Transferencia al Aire is a radio programme promoted by the Knowledge Transfer Service of Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH). Our objective is clear and exciting: to build strong bridges between university research and the business sector, bringing scientific and innovative knowledge closer to those who can turn it into value for society.
In this new episode, we focus on knowledge transfer opportunities linked to the circular economy, a strategic field where sustainability, innovation and university-business collaboration go hand in hand.
To this end, we are joined by Inma Lara Vázquez, from Comunicamos Experience and a founding partner of the Circular Economy Cluster, and Enrique Barrajón Catalán, a researcher at the UMH Institute for Research in Biotechnology and Health (IDiBE).
Throughout the programme, we discuss the main challenges facing sectors such as agri-food, textiles and waste management, and explore how university research can provide solutions in areas such as waste valorisation, new materials, biotechnology and industrial sustainability. We also reflect on the role of knowledge transfer, university-business collaboration and the innovation opportunities arising around the circular economy.
An episode that explores how research can become a driver of sustainability, competitiveness and business transformation.
