The Knowledge Transfer Service of Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) participated in the RedOTC 2026 Technical Conference, held this year at the University of Jaén. This annual event brings together knowledge transfer professionals from universities across Spain, consolidating its position as one of the sector’s main forums for exchanging experiences and good practices.
During the conference, some of the most relevant challenges and opportunities shaping the development of knowledge transfer and innovation in the university environment were addressed. Topics discussed included:
- The application of artificial intelligence to transfer management.
- Knowledge valorisation and protection strategies.
- University-business collaboration through contracts under Article 60 of the LOSU.
- The creation and consolidation of university spin-offs.
- Measuring the impact of research and knowledge transfer activities.
Participation in this type of event enables the UMH team to gain first-hand knowledge of new tools, trends and working methodologies, while also sharing experiences with other technology transfer offices and strengthening collaboration networks within the national innovation ecosystem.
As a result of the conference, the UMH Knowledge Transfer Service returns with new ideas, insights and contacts that will contribute to further strengthening the connection between research generated at the university and its practical application in society.
These initiatives reinforce UMH’s commitment to increasingly effective knowledge transfer, aimed at generating economic and social value through innovation and collaboration with the wider community.
