The Knowledge Transfer Service (TTO) and experts from the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) conducted a specialized pilot workshop on Intellectual Property (IP) today at the Miguel Hern\u00e1ndez University (UMH) facilities, as part of a joint collaboration between the two institutions. This strategic initiative is designed to bridge the training and language gap between research teams and staff at Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) across Europe; the UMH is the first institution to host this type of outreach for its researchers through this partnership with the EUIPO.<\/p>\n

The workshop was developed in response to the common difficulty scientific teams face in identifying IP opportunities within their lines of work. Its primary goal is to broaden the research community’s perspective, demonstrating that IP protection is not limited to patents but also encompasses equally powerful tools such as trademarks, industrial designs, and trade secrets.<\/p>\n
